In October of 2009, which was my fourth anniversary of blogging, I had just begun law school.  There was much complaining about my legal research and writing class.  We went to a festival in New Orleans – I remember this festival, I was newly pregnant with Liam and hadn’t yet announced it, so it’s not mentioned in the post.  I talk about Halloween on Octavia Street in New Orleans – if you can ever get there, you should definitely try.  I was a ghost, and Jack was a black spider (I made the costume out of black socks and black shirt and pants).   It was a good year – later that year…

We walked up to the folding table to buy our tickets to get into the boys’ school fall festival, and then sent them running off ahead of us into the bounce houses, never to be seen again.  (Well, maybe not never, but they were in those things for ages.  All I saw was a flash of crew cut, the suggestion of Liam’s red sweater fly by the net-covered window now and then.)  Craig stayed close to us, on the ground and exploring, but with some hesitation.  It was a lot of sensory information for him to process.  At one point he found a cornhole set and spent at least twenty minutes sliding…

Already missed a day! Ack! I will give you two today, to make up for it. For this morning, a stream of consciousness list: My sister bought her wedding dress, and it is glam glam glam.  She looks so pretty in it.  So proud of her.  No spoilers on design, but think “Sybil Crawley” and you get the general idea of her look.  That’s Sybil Crawley, first season of Downton Abbey, of course, not her final season when she had that weird haircut. When does Downton Abbey’s last season come out in America?  Hmm. Must investigate. I do believe I will be purchasing all 3 of my meals from fast…

I listened to this absolutely astonishing podcast . . . Invisibilia?  Now I’d better go find it and link to it so you can listen if you want.  Hold on a sec . . . there it is.  That link is an article about the podcast and its subject, and it contains a link to the podcast itself should you be inclined to listen. **Side note – I went over our cell plan data allotment this month.  I think it’s probably partly listening to so many podcasts while driving.  The Stitcher app is amazing, and I love podcasts, and I guess we’re bumping up our data plan by a couple of giga mega…
