He’s gone. I’m flying out to Louisville for the funeral Thursday.
Sigh. Such a cheerful, unique personality.
As a friend put it, cancer bites.
God bless you little Joe! You are already missed.
Growing old gracelessly.

Gill,
I am very glad that you are going for the funeral. I feel like even though I didn\’t know him, I should go too. It never seems right when a part of our little community is lost. I\’ll be thinking of you. You are right — this is happening too often for my taste too.
Have a safe trip. Tell Amy we are thinking of them all.
Amanda 🙂
Hey Gillian – I was on Kenny\’s site and saw your link – I was sad to hear or read I guess, that you have lost someone to cancer. It does suck. I will say a prayer although I\’m not a religious person, I do beleive in prayer. I too have had cancer hit my life, too much! Along with Heart disease, Lupus and sudden tragedies. Rough rides.
I hope there is a reason for it all!!! Although I\’m still struggling with that. I love your site, I don\’t have time to read it all, but I will stop in again, if that is ok? I just joined the blog world this year. Great place. Take care of yourself. L
Gill,
I hope you are doing well. How are things? I hope that Thursday was beautiful and that you got to see a lot of people. K said she went, but I think maybe that was just to the viewing.
Just wanted you to know I am thinking about you.
Amanda 🙂
