. . . and I wasn’t lying.
Just a quick update so every one knows I’m still alive. I have been busy with a capital B. We’ve decided we are getting married on October 21st of this year – that’s just 7 months away! So I drive an hour to work now (each way), don’t take a lunch, don’t leave until 6 or 7, then when I get home at 8 or so I either work some more or get wedding stuff going. Weekends is more wedding stuff or trying to keep the house in order, or going out of town.
Anybody surprised that I got terribly ill, and was out sick for two days this week?
I’m feeling much better now – still have a cough and cold, but at least the major aches and pains are gone. I’m up now at 6 in the morning on a Saturday, since my ever so helpful cat decided that we can’t get up at 6 every other day of the week and then change the routine JUST because it’s Saturday. I poured a cup of water on her, but even that wasn’t enough to shut her up. She’s been tossed outside, but I’m awake now, so much for sleeping in. Anyway, I’m about to get ready to go out of town again – just for the night. I thought I’d check in and say Hi.
Hi.
Wish me luck staying sane the next few months. I will be back!
COUNTDOWN: 7 months and 3 days
PLANS SO FAR: We will be married in Beaufort, South Carolina. We’ve picked a small white church with a brick patio and large windows. We both felt like that church was "it." We’ve reserved the club on a nearby military base for the reception -it’s on a marsh, and quite nice. We’ve also picked colors – sage green, orange, yellow, cherry red, and cream. (The attendants will wear sage green with cream accents and carry orange, yellow, and red flowers). I think I’ve picked a photographer, but he’s a little pricey. We’ve also got most of the guest list together. Did I mention I was busy??
FIGHTS SO FAR: Don’t have time for fights. Don’t have time for anything.
don\’t forget to say that you have delegated duties and are not completely on your own, siblings are involved in the initial research and tidying up loose ends falls on the heads of the enfianced. you should read my st. patty\’s poem when you get a chance hahahah!!!! i think it is funny and a super great pic of you beloved. 🙂
Best of luck with all the planning, and the healing, the new-job-doing, and whatnot. I was so stressed out when I planned my wedding I nearly lost my last little marble. I recommend vodka.
Yay, yay, yay! It will be so pretty there. I am glad that you have decided on a date/place. One thing checked off the list. How did the dress shopping go?
Amanda 🙂
Well I am glad that there aren\’t any fights, sorry there is no time for them. ; )
Sounds lovely and quaint not overdone.

Wow….you are burning the candle at both ends. Hopefully it eases up soon so you don\’t end up really sick.
Everything sounds beautiful for the wedding. Sage is such a pretty color and the flowers will add the perfect touch.
I was cracking up that you poured water on the cat. Too funny! They can be so loving one minute and such a P.I.T.A. the next.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend and are able to sit and relax for a bit.
Just stopping in to say hello! How are things?
I sent in my wedding contract today. Whew! One thing done!
Amanda 🙂
