It’s been a dispiriting couple of weeks at work, for various unbloggable reasons. It’s also warmish but totally overcast outside, which suits the mood. I’m keeping my door shut today.
So I’ll pretend I don’t care about all of this other stuff, and forcefully turn my gaze toward Easter dinner! Planning meals is fun. I’m thinking pork tenderloin – or possibly standing rib roast. Sides will likely include a cheesy starch – macaroni and cheese or a cheese grit of some kind, possibly scalloped potatoes. I’d love a really interesting vegetable, something new – artichokes? Is that weird? Then apple or chocolate pie. I remember years ago when I did a strawberry mousse cake . . . it tasted ok but was kind of a leaning tower of disaster, structurally.
I think I’ll get my hair cut today. That will make me feel better!
