I love you today, I love you tomorrow
I love you as deep as the sea
I love you in joy, I love you in sorrow
You can always come home to me
You can always come home to me.
This is the song at the end of a Veggie Tales video that Jack loves. I just heard the words. Baaaaaaaaaaawl. My tears are on a hair trigger since gestating this little human. Although he’s been more of a monster this morning, hence the Veggie Tales movie on repeat. Last night was like the newborn days. We postulate that he has a tummy ache, because yesterday I allowed him to eat both a waxy disposable paper cup AND almost an entire pack of gum (plastic wrapper, cardboard box, gum and all.) Don’t ask how.
I want to write about New Orleans, about leaving my sister behind and how (rotten) that feels, about working from home and how (fantastic) that’s going, about our house – but we don’t have daycare, and I’m doing a lot of reading in advance of school, and so whenever Jack is sleeping or occupied, I’m reading, and thus have less time for typing, hence this enormously long runon sentence, which is all the thinking and writing that I have time for. Enjoy.
