Labor Day Morning Meal Planning
Well clearly this has been in drafts for some time . . .
Dinner prep is kind of complicated during hurricane season. Don’t want to have too much in the freezer . . . we’ve learned from painful expensive experience! Here is the list (ETA – still haven’t made quite a few of these, so this list is still mostly current!):
- Steak taco salad (Southern Living)
- Chipotle honey chicken thighs
- Pork chops, potatoes and green beans (Southern Living)
- Southern bangers and mash (Southern Living)
- Pepperoni rolls (Southern Living)
- Brisket, rolls
- Rigatoni with summer vegetables
- Spicy whiskey BBQ sliders
- Ham and potato soup
- Panera copycat broccoli and cheese soup
The month is almost over, I can’t believe it. I’ve been quite busy lately – largely pleasantly busy, out in the world and out of my house more often than I have been since covid hit. This was one of my goals for happiness – to have less home-bound time and more face to face time with people in the community.
On September 23, there will be 100 days left in the year. What else can I finish in 2023? What do I want to see done before year’s end?
OK this whole post is boring and bad and I’m gonna hit Publish and just give up on it. Then start on the next one – ideally a better one.
