Categorizing Things is Overrated

Hi!

I’m just gonna write something. I have a million drafts, just the usual. Day to day, vacation, trips, nothing special. I miss having the record. It doesn’t need to be perfect, right? It’s ok if I don’t post a lot of pictures because it takes a frickin’ year for them to upload. Right?

We just came back from a trip to Disney. It was exTREMEly fun to go with these boys – aged almost-15, almost-13, and 9. They were wonderful. We played games in the lines as we waited – Jack rode a few rides he was uncomfortable to try – I rode every rollercoaster with Liam that there was. Craig loves rollercoasters but decided this time to follow Jack’s lead and skipped several. Whatever – we didn’t care. Ride what you want, sleep as long as you want, this is a vacation not a death march. Liam and I also did Harry Potter world in Universal one day together, while Jack and Craig and the Prof did a waterpark. We had the best time – he was so into it, and so was I. No pretense, no pre-teen angst or pretense – just wonder. I spent unfathomable sums on wands which we clutched the remainder of the day. We loved the ride at Gringott’s bank – the ride in the castle made me sick to my stomach. Every second in Diagon Alley was magic.

We boarded Jasper (have I introduced the new dog? A reagle, aka a rottweiler beagle mix – he’s a rescue, but that’s his suspected breeds). He got reports of “medium to high anxiety level” when I picked him up, and was quite sullen and sulky upon our return, but eventually warmed back up and is now our affectionate cuddly bud again. We will leave him again this summer for quite some time to go to Europe – he’ll stay with family that time, so hopefully will handle it better.
