Craig has taken to beating people up and hurling objects across the room in anger. His little toddler anger is the cutest thing. We use 30 second timeouts to curb these outbursts, and it is hard not to laugh at his bullying. He is testing boundaries, and a surefire way to have this behavior repeat itself is if we giggle and laugh in response, but GOD IT IS SO HARD TO KEEP A STRAIGHT FACE. Ahahahaha I laugh in the face of your impotence, little beast!
He’s talking some, but not a whole lot, though he does warble nonsense at us in sentence-like cadences, so we can usually get what he’s asking. He’s a Big Boy in many ways – helped his brothers unload the dishwasher yesterday. They really trained him to transfer plastic cups from the dish rack to the drawer where they go, and he was actually sort of helpful. I can get him to pick up toys and put them away (one at a time), or pick up trash and trash it. He will open the drawer, fetch a cup, and take it to the fridge water dispenser if he’s thirsty . . . or grab a bowl and take it to the pantry if he’s hungry.
He’s growing up.
