Babies Babies Babies
I’m surrounded by preggos. One friend at work just had a baby girl and three others are pregnant with boys (due in December, January, and March). My sister is also due to have a baby girl any old day now, as is a cousin down in Florida. It’s fun. It’s also been great to remove all baby stuff from our house and deposit it to others in need.
I say this because, looking for something to say today, I skimmed my October 2007 archives, and they mostly consist of pregnancy posts. Cravings, sickness, worries, surprise that I was already preg at our first anniversary. Lord, what a blessing Jack is, but what a shock we had! It all seems so long ago now. Though a slightly more seasoned parent, still in the early days where the work is largely physical rather than mental, I still occasionally feel some shock. It’s like we were hit with a truck – BAM! – three boys. There were long days in there, and long and winding years, and yet I so clearly recall October 2007, before I had to get a sitter to go anywhere or do anything. If you had told me then . . . three boys. Man. I’d never have guessed.

As my baby is about to turn one….I seriously want another! Like really bad!! Our days are insane and busy and crazy as it is. What’s wrong with me?!

Aw, CP! Nothing’s wrong with you! Perfectly natural to love babies. And so is the amnesia of how difficult they are and how much they cost – or else we’d never have more than one!
