You have talked in full sentences since 20 months, or even before.  You are very clear.  you can switch pronouns appropriately, change tenses, and you switch from “I” to “you” (i.e. – MOM: Do you want a cookie?  LIAM: Yes, I want a cookie.)  You are a steamroller – you never stop, and will never go around if it’s remotely possible for you to go through.  You say I’m hungry or I’m cold, you say “Yes” very clearly.  The other day you were sad that you couldn’t go on the train with dad and Jack to Clemson, and I said “Honey, I’m sorry, you can go next time.”  And you said “I not honey, I just LIAM.”  So grumpy, so teenagerish!  It was hilarious.  You “order” fries whenever we stop at a fast food window, and sometimes when we stop at a toll booth.  You call police cars “policeman cars,” and whenever you hear a boat or train whistle (which we can hear from our apartment that we just left), you say “I see a train!  I see a boat!”  You love trucks.  The other day you came up to me and held out your hand and said “Here, you want some cookies?”  So I had some imaginary cookies.  You love Owen, your best friend, and will miss him now that we’ve moved.  You also love Nadina, your nanny, and understand her when she speaks to you in full Spanish.  Your language is astonishing – it impresses everyone.  You are imaginative, stubborn, and cuddly, and I love you lots!
