Holidays and Celebrations

Another Resolution!

I can’t believe I forgot this one!  Also fun –

8. I resolve to work on my “look.”  I got makeup this year for Christmas, and I’m going to use it.  I’ve never been, and will never be, the girl who matches her eyeshadow to her outfit – that’s just not my look, no disrespect meant to those who do rock that style.   I’ll also probably never be a foundation girl.  But a little powder, a little bronzer, some lip, some mascara, the occasional crazy day when I put on eyeshadow – these things would serve me well in my mid-thirties.  I also want to resolve on drying my hair daily and trying to mask the fact that it falls into tangles and looks unbrushed about five minutes after I’ve brushed it.  I will use the accessories I already have in new ways.  That kind of thing.  I’m going to go brave in 2011.

Thanks for the resolution motivation. I need to resolve to get dressed every morning. Seems that the deeper I get into SAHM-hood and pregnancy, the less motivated I become to put on real clothes. January goal: get dressed. FEbruary…who knows, maybe makeup!

I’m so there with you. I cannot manage to leave the house in the morning with dry hair, it’s impossible. I used to do my make-up in the car during my commute (you know, while parked on the highway), but now I’m too lazy to do that. Terrible.

Can I just say again how much your blog pleases me? I wish I could prioritize writing out my thoughts as you do. Thanks for being a fellow mom/student who says it like it is. Hugs.
