OK, call me a snob, but I just read the words "there are a myriad of options" in my official law school orientation stuff. Snort. That’s myriad options, Mr. Named Professor. Bring it, law school.
I’m here. My laptop batteries are running out, so in the interest of not losing this post I’ll keep it short. I walked to the grocery today, and it took me 7 minutes. My son has grown a temper and a will of his own, and thus tantrums are the order of the day around here. My husband is snoring on the other couch. Our front room fits two couches. Our apartment is Frickin’ Huge, folks! It’s hot. The dog, cat, and child seem to be settling in, though there is no way for us to explain why everything is different. Patrick and I seem to be settling in, though we know why everything is different and that does not make it any less frightening. The house is, as of this evening, totally and completely put together. Thank you, Patrick’s family, for unpacking the bulk of my shizz. I am forever grateful, but paying off a bit of karma by doing it for someone else we sort of know who is moving down here in a couple of weeks.
I am prepping for orientation.
Oh and did I mention? Done with work?
I have been playing our piano again. It’s been a while since I felt like playing.
