My appointment was today. He’s turned. His head is way down where it’s supposed to be, so when he gets the hiccups I’ve been feeling it in my, er, nether parts. It’s very funny. The body part jammed into my chest cavity is probably his butt, because he’s facing my right side with all of his appendages kind of gathered together over there. The midwife helped me trace his spine up my left side. The body part that has been attempting to break through my lower right abdominal area for about three weeks now is a foot. Which is good to know, because back when I thought it might be his head I was trying to be gentle when shoving it back, but now I can defend myself a little more fiercely.
Last night he kicked me so hard in the upper body that I instinctively slapped him. Yeah. Think about that for a minute.
Happy Saint Patrick’s Day to all. I am wearing a green shirt and green goggly earrings, and who knows, I may get wild this evening and dye myself an O’Doul’s with green food coloring. Erin go bragh!
abuse before he\’s out…i like it…lol…
i keep wondering when the kicking will start to break my internal organs…lol….i am pretty sure that he is head down in me too…
Happy St Patty\’s Day!!
*~* :o) everyone smiles in the same language… :o) *~*
i\’m wearing the green today too!
i looked through all the pictures and didn\’t see the great pregnant whale you described.
you are looking good, my friend!!
I\’m here! Finally! Leaving a comment!
I LOVE the new pics – you look great! So happy! Me thinks you have the mysterious preggie glow? I hope his turning in your womb has re-adjusted and you can now take deep breaths. Can\’t wait until he comes out to meet us!
i feel your pain. the butt on the rib cage hurts like a mofo. i vividly remember when leah used to do that. i would press on her baby toosh as hard as i could to get her to move and she would simply move from the right side of my rib cage to the left. um. not exactly what i had in mind. how exciting to hear that he is head down and getting ready to make his big debut! yay!
How funny that you slapped him. I don\’t think I ever did that. (Maybe that is convenient forgetfulness though.)Glad all is still going well and you do look radiant in the photos.
Yeah I slapped him. In other words, I slapped myself. How ridiculous. I had a mental image of him in there snickering at me and going – Hey Mom, why are you hittin\’ yourself? Gee that must hurt. Guffaw guffaw.
Girl – you look incredible! You\’re almost there… you must be excited and overwhelmed all at once. I know I was. Heck… I\’m on #2 and I still feel that way. And, I totally remember being kicked in the ribs. Xan was a manic… I didn\’t know how I was going to make it to full term the way he was beating me up from the inside out! River\’s not abusing me… YET. But, I\’ve still got another three months to go. Ugh. I still can\’t believe we haven\’t gotten together yet. We really should before you pop!
