See my self-penned obituary on Wonder Women. I would soooo love it if I could say all this about myself in 70 years. But we’ll just have to see what the future holds.
As for the present – it holds some long and quiet evenings. Some nights I enjoy the solitude. Some nights I don’t. Some nights I go to bed at 8:30 out of sheer boredom. I think Patrick’s in the same boat. We’re both working hard, and making the most of these months – him with research, me with pre-baby projects. It makes me a wee bit sad that the last few months of the child-free part of our marriage are being spent apart. As it ended up, we didn’t have a whole lot of time post vows and sans kids. I guess we’ll have to make up for it by having lots of kid-free dates in the next few years. Ahem, anyone up for free babysitting?
Things are shaping up. The baby registry. The guest room/baby’s room. The puppy training. I’ve signed up for childbirth classes. My sister is going to go with me. Patrick’s been reading up on raising babies, while I’ve been focusing more on pregnancy books (of more immediate concern for me!)
I’m in my 26th week. Just one more week and I being my third trimester. Just two weeks after that, Patrick will be back for a few days.
The sand trickles. The clock ticks. The sun goes round and round. Another day nearer.
you seem to be in great spirits…i can\’t believe that you are heading into your third trimester…i just started my second…
*~* :o) if you do not have a smile today… :o) I will give you one of mine… :o) *~*
I only do free babysitting if bottles of wine are involved. For after the kid goes to sleep, of course!
I\’m so proud of how you are handling this whole situation. I would be a weeping mess who would probably be not a very happy girl about left behind alone all pregnant and such. You are FAR more mature than I am! 🙂
