My coworker is out of town this whole week – and I know her job – so I’m covering for her. Also, we are into rehearsal big-style – two weeks left to get this mammoth off the ground (musicals are always so much harder to manage than straight plays). Ergo, I will be busier than a fly in a hog pen this week. (Is that a saying? I think I just made it up). So, before I begin this stressful adventure (well, I’m already halfway through Monday, and that’s an accomplishment), I have a list of things to accomplish:
1. Buy a chiminea (outdoor fireplace) – CHECK, that one I did on Sunday, and it is rockin’. In December when the play is over I will be able to enjoy it.
2. Check up on the latest Brad and Angelina gossip. I am a celebrity gossip whore. I don’t buy magazines, it’s a waste of money, but I happily waste far more precious time and troll for hours on the internet for juicy details that are assuredly all lies. I don’t know why, and I’m not proud. But I’m also (I feel) not alone.
3. Eat salad for lunch all week. We’ll see how I do with this one, but the poor man who has to pick me up like seven times in this musical has been grunting with effort lately. And I had potato skins this weekend, loaded, and pizza, and fries. T-minus two weeks and counting til I have to put on lingerie and wiggle onstage, better get on it.
4. Send a Thanksgiving card to the sibs. My mother, who I love respect and admire, was pretty slack with the old care packages when I was in school (she still had four small children at home, which is probably the reason). But anyway, I suffered, oh how I suffered, when the other kids pulled out their cookies, their cheetos, their little notes with hearts on them from mom, and I pulled out . . . junk mail. So I’m trying to make up for my own lack by inundating my younger siblings with love and care via US mail. Plus they call me when they get something, and I love that.
5. Finish the nasty pink wine-in-a-box so we can buy something I like. O sister, if you are reading today, then this is our goal. We must drain the beast, so we can make room in the fridge for something really classy – like chablis-in-a-box.
6. Tell my boyfriend hello at least once when I come in the door. He is usually sitting there on the couch when I arrive, having waited for an hour at my house so we can spend a precious few moments together before I leave again. He is ignored, however, in favor of the cat, and this is very bad. Professor, wherever you are, I promise to notice you next time and ignore the kitten for at least ten minutes – if she lets me.
7. Call some friends!! I miss them!
The End of the list for this week. Hope everyone has a good one!
think we can manage it big sis. although, it won\’t be as hard as you think for i have put quite a dent in it this weekend i assure you.
You were HIDING on the Internet this whole time??? I\’d use bad language, but I\’ll save that for our next phone call! 🙂 Miss you!
Love the to do list. "Chablis-in-a-box"…..crack me up. I too am a celebrity gossip whore. I have a lot of free time at work, so I end up reading it all. That is very sweet of you to send the sibs stuff via US mail. I always buy my cousins stuff to send to them at college….but it never makes it to the post office. I end up giving it to them when they come home for breaks. 🙁 I need to make an honest effort this time.Good luck with the salad thing….I usually cave after two days.~Take care.~
I love salads…if they are drowning in ranch dressing and all the lettuce is covered with cheese and bacon bits. It\’s still healthy that way, right?? heeheeLoved your comments on my blog about divorced people…you would think we were mutants by how I was treated for awhile there. I belong to a local theater group here…I\’ve been meaning to write about the show we finished up this past weekend. We mainly do musicals and musical reviews…I don\’t sing, so I\’m relegated to bit parts in the chorus and skits. It\’s okay, though…I still love being a part of it. I\’m going to have to sift through your site here and find out what you\’ve written about your acting career. =) Kelly
Keeping busy, huh??? Celebrity gossip! Don\’t EVEN get me started! I am seriously addicted, but unlike you, I do buy the magazines. My Friday night ritual is to pore over People and US Weekly. -sigh- All is well with the world again! Salads for an entire week? Lord, I broke that to-do a long time ago! I am off to have Cheetos and a fat peanut butter sandwich with a Mountain Dew. I am healthy — I swear! Amanda 🙂
Hey, I\’m a celebrity gossip whore too! :o) Have you ever gone to http://www.thesuperficial.com? He posts about celeb gossip all day long, and he is so funny! And http://www.celebweb.org is a great place for the latest pics. They had some of Brad and Angie on the beach a couple weeks ago. I still hate him for what he did to Jen, but Friends is my all time fav show, so I\’m destined to be on her side! ~Lorie
You crack me up! Hopefully you can get some much needed R&R this weekend. Take care and seriously think about wearing a helmet tomorrow, okay? LOLAnnie
